We want your child’s first visit to be a positive anxiety-free experience. Our goal is to provide your child with the highest quality of dental care in a manner that allows them to grow up unafraid of visiting the dentist. We will customize your child’s visit to meet his or her specific needs, both physically and psychologically.

We have an open door policy meaning that parents are allowed in appropriate patient care areas. Occasionally, we may ask parents to leave the room so that we may focus the child’s attention on the task at hand. We also have a no restraint policy. Under no circumstances are harsh words or physical restraints utilized.

Some helpful tips for your first visit: be natural, positive and easy-going. Be a role model! Your child will look to you for cues as to what to expect and how to act at their dental appointment. If you appear calm and confident, so will your child. Please avoid phrases and words such as “it won’t hurt” drill, shot or needle. Talk about the upcoming dental visit. It is a new experience for your child, so let them know the dentist will be looking at his or her teeth to clean them and make sure that they are all healthy.
